Natural Beauty :)

The August 2011 issue of Brides had a Fabulous blurb about "The Top 10 Beauty Foods" which was information from Dermatologist Nicholas Perricone who is the author of Forever Young.

This is a great list of foods to add to your everyday diet as you prepare to have healthier looking skin for your big day :)

1. Wild Salmon- contains essential omega-3 fatty acids that keep skin supple, hair healthy and nails strong.
2. Pistachios- With high levels of monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fat- they help nourish the hair and scalp.
3. Watercress- This will help bring strength and shine to your nails because of the sulfur.
4. Cinnamon- Rich in antioxidants, this will stimulate blood circulation which results in plumper skin.
5. Olive Oil- A healthy fat source that guards against inflammation which can dull your dermis.

6. Green Tea- Contains antioxidants called polyphenols which help combat complexion issues like rosacea and wrinkles (Also can be a great natural energizer for some :)
7. Turmeric- A spice that works as an anti-inflammatory helping to heal sun-damaged skin (Interesting).
8. Blueberries- Contain powerful antioxidants which keep fine lines and sagging at bay.
9. Dark Chocolate- Contains flavonols which smooth the skin and decrease sun sensitivity (Something I'm sure will be an enjoyable addition :)
10. Cantaloupe- With hydrating C and beta-carotene these sweet treat will be great for dewy complexion :)

Try to add these natural beauty elements into your daily diet and whenever possibly buy local/Fair-Trade and/or Organic  :)

Inspirations: Camping Theme Wedding!

With Summer coming to an end I have major camping fever which made me daydream about camping themed weddings! How fun and perfect for the outdoors couple!

A great engagement shoot from Green Wedding Shoes Shot by Photographer Shannen Norman who has a stunning portfolio of great wedding/engagement session inspirations!

And this from the same shoot :) So sweet in the matching plaid-- Camping perfection!

I love the vintage feel to these pictures and think that the canvas tent is a really amazing addition for a vintage flavor.

A great outdoors inspired save the date on etsy

One wedding I found to be incredibly inspiring was a fabulous couple Victoria + Fritz featured on

Here are some images to inspire and dream up creative ideas whether in a camper or a tent the possibilities are endless!

A fun camper
found on Eleven Senses

A sweet table setup which would be great equipped with vintage camping ware

You can find more amazing pictures from this wedding featured on

Add a collection of old glass jars and wild flowers :)

Here's an etsy page that sells old jars which is great if your on a time crunch for finding old jars Sunshine Hill Farm

Another Super aspect of a camping wedding is that you could always throw in a s'more bar.. :)

Here's a fun camping wedding :) Green Wedding Shoes Real Wedding Katie +Cameron
--Check this out they have a whole weekend of activities planned with an invitation map! I really love the quilt that had a copy of the invitation on it and ofcourse I love the idea of letting your guests each have a mason jar to reuse throughout the night/weekend :)

Here's a great drink dispenser you can buy off of Recycled Bride and for only $25 you can reuse it after the wedding or sell it :)

It would be fun to have a few jars with different beverages such as lemonades and if I were to do mason jars I would do them with a twine string and maybe birch bark name tags :)

I really loved this idea from Simply Savannah Events
A page to check out because they have some fabulous creative ideas and inspirations :)

**One note about the mason jars is to make sure to make them visually appealing whether on several display tables or really simple but statement tags because you don't want your set-up to look like a yard sale table  (Which I go crazy for if I'm looking to add to my jar collection). You want your guests to want to drink from the jars not be overwhelmed by them.

To finish this off enjoy your time and create a magical spot in the woods for the bride and groom :)
